wife. The fact that the Ghost is invisible to the Queen suggests a moral implication. The Queen is unable to receive spiritual visions because she has deviated from the path of honour and chastity by her illegal remarriage with Claudius. The Ghost also symbolizes the power of the unseen world and messenger of the divine justice. It reminds us that earthly power or glory is controlled and shaped by a spiritual power beyond the jurisdiction of man.
